Highpoint I was built in the 1930s on one of the highest points in London, England, in Highgate. Berthold Lubetkin  was in charge of the architectural design, with the the structural design by the Anglo-Danish engineer Ove Arup.

Original taps with the renovated wall finish in Moroccan tadelakt

When the building was completed, it became widely renowned as the finest example of this form of construction for residential purposes.

Original towel hangers from the 1930s

When Corbusier himself visited Highpoint in 1935 he said: «This beautiful building [...] at Highgate is an achievement of the first rank.»

All the renovation works kept the original details, including cabinets and countertops

The architectural historian Dan Cruickshank selected Highpoint as one of his eight choices for the 2002 BBC book The Story of Britain's Best Buildings.

Highpoint One was the ultimate expression of modern movement styling in Britain, offering a relaxed serviced lifestyle on a stunning hilltop site with extensive grounds in a building demonstrating technical sophistication and exceptional elegance

All the original details in a Grade I Listed building must be preserved

Though intended for a wide range of incomes, with some subsidized, low rents, such was the block's success that it quickly attracted an up-market clientele.
